Trials
The scheduling of trials is dependent upon the availability of the coaching and management staff, and venues. The final team will be selected from two stages of trials, the net trials and the centre wicket trial.
Players are required to attend one of the net trials detailed below, and must email the Team Manager (andrew.lincoln@bcgs.wa.edu.au [1]) by Friday 13 February to confirm which of the net trials they will be attending.
|
South Metro Net Trial |
Wednesday 25 February, 4:15 – 5:30 p.m. Murdoch University, Wagtail Cl, Murdoch map [2] |
|
North Metro Net Trial |
Friday 20 February, 4:15 – 5:30 p.m. TBC Breckler Park, 70 Cornwall St, Dianella |
|
South-West Net Trial |
Update: Due to numbers of nominees in the SW and to give our Country players the best chance of progressing, we have decided to combine the South-West and South Metro trials. This means that South-West players will be required to attend the South Metro Net Trial above on Wednesday 25 February. Please RSVP via email to the team manager to confirm your attendance. Our preference is that all players attend the trial, however if you are unable to make it, given short time frame and distance required to travel, please let us know and you will still be considered. Hopefully, carpooling can be arranged, given all SW country players are from two schools and most know each other. |
Following the net trials, coaching and management staff will inform all players by email as to whether they have been selected to progress to the final centre wicket trial. This is a scenario-based trial.

Final Centre Wicket Trial |
Monday 9 March, 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m Breckler Park, 70 Cornwall St, Dianella |
Dress and Equipment
Players are asked to wear a school sports top to assist with identification.
Players are required to provide their own personal cricket kits at trials and on the event day. Groin protectors are recommended for batters and wicket keepers in cricket. Gloves, pads, and helmets are required.
Further details will be communicated via email to all nominated players.
Player Nominations
If a student wishes to withdraw their nomination, they must do so before trials to avoid the nomination fee. Sport Coordinators are to check the nominated players from their school, as emailed to them, and report any errors or changes.
The ACC coaching staff reserve the right to add players to the trialling squad at any time and to amend the trial details if circumstances require it.
Please contact the Coaching and Management Staff if you require further information.
